ATITHI INDIAN CUISINE – Kitsilano

Dinner at Atithi Indian Cuisine - what a lovely way to start my Dine Out Vancouver Festival. A restaurant I've never been to, a type of food I don't eat often enough, and a handsome date who was willing to take mouth-watering photos!

The front of house ladies we so very friendly. They happily described each dish in detail and they generously brought out an extra appetizer, making sure that we tried everything that our little piggy hearts desired. The back of house cooked up some really tasty dishes but it is worth pointing out that the much anticipated Naan and basmati rice, served with both of our entrees, were cooked to perfection.

The Dine Out menu at Atithi was $18 for 3 courses and in my Piggy opinion, it was truly value priced. The highlights for me from each course - all items that I would go back for - are the following:

Appetizer: it was a tie between the Jackfruit biriyani kathi roll and the beet root and coconut, veggie cutlet.

Entrée: New-Zealand lamb bengali curry with green papaya.

Dessert: Cardamom crème brûlée chocolates (2 pcs)

Again, a big thank you goes out to my date, and photographer, Charles Zuckermann. Able to capture the deliciousness of this dinner, I think his pictures will have you planning your own dinner at Atithi sooner rather than later.

Let the Dine Out Festivities continue! Oink Oink, Piggies!
